Spot On shows for all ages

Spot on Productions has given veteran musical, Annie, a reboot.

The renowned theatre group is bringing their much-loved production, Annie Jr, to the Pioneer Theatre from November 8 to 11.

Starring as the lovable redheaded orphan in the hit new show is 11-year-old Lana Harmey.

The talented tween said she was excited to take to the stage in November.

“The most exciting thing about Annie Jr for me is that this is my first-ever lead role and I’m really excited about performing,” Lana said.

Lana first started dancing when she was three-years-old and advanced to singing and acting a year later.

The eager actress is now working on becoming a triple threat so that she can take on the big league later in life.

“I would really like to act in movies one day, and my dream role would be to play Elphaba in Wicked,” Lana said.

“I would really like to do a musical movie like The Greatest Showman.

“I would also love to be a singer and make my own record,” she added.

Annie Jr also has a furry surprise for animal lovers with Primrose the Golden Retriever playing Annie’s canine sidekick Sandy in the show.

Spot on Productions is also bringing their one-hour musical concert, Musical Memories, to the newly established Castle Hill theatre on Friday, November 9.

Featuring two prominent Sydney vocalists, Melody Beck and Michael Montgomery, with live piano accompaniment by Greg Crease, Magical Memories will be an event not to be missed.

“Musical Memories is a totally different style of show,” producer Katrina Gooding said.

“Devonshire Tea will be served followed by a one hour concert with working professionals on the stage performing great musical hits.

“There’ll even be the opportunity for the audience to join in on a few numbers,” she added.
