  • Roxborough Rose Garden: See more than 80 varieties of roses at the Roxborough Rose Garden in Baulkham Hills. Free. Details: thehills.nsw.gov.au and search ‘Rose Garden at Alfred Henry Whaling Memorial Reserve.
  • Bushwalks: The Hills Shire Council has released 12 bushwalks, which can be accessed online at thehills.nsw.gov.au. There you will find 12 downloadable PDF’s which explain everything about the walks, as well as easy-to follow maps.

  • Balcombe Heights Open Day: Enjoy a FREE community day out at Balcombe Heights Estate on Sunday, November 4. Meet the Estate’s community groups and learn about what they do and how you can get involved. Kids’ activities have also been planned, including a treasure hunt, a first aid course and biscuit making and clay poppy making workshops. Details: thehills.nsw.gov.au.

  • Hills Harmony Showcase: Come along and enjoy a wonderful afternoon of acapella harmony with the award-winning Hills Harmony Chorus and Friends.   • Annie Jr: Spot On Productions presents Annie Jr – the one hour version of Annie – full of the same hit songs and showcasing the talent of many young performers.   • Centenary of Armistice: A FREE concert will be held at Bella Vista Farm on Sunday, November 11 at 4.30pm to mark the Centenary of Armistice. The multi award-winning Castle Hill RSL Youth Wind Orchestra will be joined by four Royal Australian Army “big guns” at The Farm for the commemoration. Food and drink will be available for purchase.
