New Vogue dancing will be burning up the dance floor at the Harvey Lowe Pavilion at Castle Hill on Monday, September 2 when the Hills Seniors Dance gets into full swing.
Around 150 enthusiasts will be dancing to Big Band sounds as they waltz, foxtrot and quickstep their way around the dance floor.
The Seniors Dance was started nearly 30 years ago by Hazel and Horrie Newman from Glenhaven who first met at an old fashioned tea dance.
They loved attending dances together which was why they established the Hills Seniors Dance which they ran for 24 years.
The past five Senior Dances have been hosted by 365 Care and Jobquest as part of the Orange Blossom Festival Program and Hazel still attends.
Music maestro this Monday is John Hunter.
John Krisenthal , from 365 Care said it was always a great day out.
“Everyone who comes loves dancing, people have a really good time.”
The fun will run from 11am to 4pm and includes lunch and afternoon tea. Cost is $5 which can be paid at the door.
There will be lucky door prizes.
The Seniors Dance is at the Harvey Lowe Pavilion, Castle Hill Showground, 11am to 4pm on Monday, September 2. For further details call John Krisenthal at 365 Care on 0466 110 325 or Jobquest on 8677 8885.
