Livvi’s Place at Bernie Mullane Reserve continues to be a top destination for Hills families after Council installed shade sails over the new all-abilities playground.
Three new brightly coloured shade cloths were built to provide much-needed shade over the water play area and another two were constructed over the playground.
This update comes after the popular park, which celebrates the ability of all children, opened in September, last year.
The new and improved playground boasts a waterplay area, rope climb, a tunnel, sensory musical play equipment, a basket swing, mini-trampolines and so much more.
The park is fully fenced, and there are wide and accessible pathways, allowing easier access to those wanting to use the family-friendly facility.
The playground design was created in consultation with children, their parents, disability service providers and residents.
Council provided funds for the project, while working closely with the Touched by Olivia Foundation on designs and potential sponsorship opportunities.
The Livvi’s Place playground is part of the Bernie Mullane Reserve Masterplan.
