Celebrating Women in The Hills

Celebrate successful local women from The Hills Shire at Soroptimist International’s Women in The Hills Expo and cocktail party on Friday, September 14 at Thompson Hall, Balcombe eights Estate, commencing at 6.30pm.

Come along to hear from the first popularly elected Mayor of The Hills, a hairdresser who spends time caring for the homeless and a progressive CEO who will be sharing their stories on the day.

The event aims to educate and empower local women to live their best lives, according to event organiser Lesley.

“We believe there are many women who are looking for a worthwhile organisation that they can join,” Lesley said.

“We know that there are many Service Clubs in the Hills Shire doing great things for the local Community, and for women and girls locally and internationally,” she added.

The clubs and organisations attending the event include:

  • Norwest Inner Wheel
  • Zonta Sydney Hills
  • Positive Vibes Foundation
  • Girl Guides of The Hills
  • The Hills Trefoil Guild
  • Castle Hill CWA
  • Hills District Business Mums
  • Lions Club
  • And of course, Soroptimist International of The Hills

The event is open to everyone, not just women, with the $25 entry fee covers canapes, drinks and door prizes.
