Pawsitive Steps – Mind, Doggy and Spirit Festival, run by the Positive Vibes Foundation, returns to Castle Hill Showground on Sunday, September 29.
Pawsitive Steps is a unique festival that brings together dog lovers, families, health and wellbeing enthusiasts.
There will be a dog walk and dog show, talks and stalls, as well as plenty of food and activities for children.
Positive Vibes Foundation Director Mario Rodrigues said the aim of the event is to break the stigma surrounding mental health and to raise its awareness in the community with a little help from our four-legged friends.
“From earliest times, dogs have been beside humans, guarding our farms and homes, and have now become our close companions and even part of our families,” he said.
“In more recent times, we have watched how they understand our moods and give us comfort and affection when we are in need.
“We now know dogs play an important role in our mental health and wellbeing.,” he added.
Pawsitive Steps will be held on Sunday, September 29, at Castle Hill Showground.
